The UltraRoof 380 is one of the very few conservatory roofing systems to be both LABC (Local Authority Building Control) and LABSS (Local Authority Building Standards Scotland) approved. What that basically means is that you’re more likely to receive building regulations approval for the UltraRoof than most other roofing solutions. You don’t need to have the faintest idea about building regulations as our consultants are fully up-to-speed with them and will fill you in on this important subject. The last thing you want when inside your conservatory is to be able to feel the weather outside. The UltraRoof 380 will prevent that from happening as it offers a very high level of thermal efficiency, far more than any traditional glass or polycarbonate roofing system. Most old conservatories have poor insulating glass or polycarbonate roofs and they’re nowhere near as cosy as a conservatory with an UltraRoof.

You will find some glass conservatory roofs that perform impressively when it comes to thermal efficiency, but not to the extent of the UltraRoof 380. It has a U-value of only 0.16 W/m²K, which puts the UltraRoof at the top of the tree for thermal performance. What also makes it unique in comparison to other roofing solutions are the large, rectangular panels that sit within the many tiles. They help to bring natural light into extended homes, and as we know, light can create the illusion of space. You could easily mistake our polymer slate tiles for actual slates as they possess the same peaks and plateuaxs and the colours we apply to them are very similar to the colours seen on genuine tiles. We fit our slates 12 at a time, and it takes us no time to have them in place. They come in three exceptional colours: carbon grey, terra brick (red) and harvest brown.

You also have a choice of two different types of ridge cap: an ‘armadillo’ style ridge cap which best matches the effect and colour of the polymer slates, and smooth aluminium ridge cap which is more sleek and contemporary. It is usually advisable to select a slate colour that replicates the colour of any existing slates you have on the roof of your house so that the UltraRoof fits in with its surroundings. Some of our glasses also have a slight coloured tint.

You can add glass panels to the UltraRoof 380, something that you cannot do with the majority of roofing systems. They can be filled with one of our many performance glasses. Each form of glazing will demonstrate remarkable heat control and also escalate thermal efficiency within the structure. Read the following before you commit to a certain form of glazing to ensure you make the correct decision:

Tint – On first sight, you will think that our various glazing options are transparent, but most of them feature a slight tint. This tint is crucial as it influences the overall ambience of the respective conservatory.

U-Value – A U-value tells you all you need to know about heat loss. Anything with a very low U-value provides a very good level of insulation.

Solar Heat Reflection – This is the percentage of total solar energy (heat from the sun) that is prevented from passing through the glass into a room.

Light Transmission – This is the percentage of visible light directly transmitted through the glass.
