TradeMark Rewards Two-Time Community Cash Winners
Just over five years ago, TradeMark Windows commenced sponsorship of the Wokingham Times’ Community Cash tokens scheme where a local charity or non-profit group is handed £200 worth of FREE financial assistance.
The inaugural winners of the competition were All Saints Bellringers and lightning has struck twice after the group were again picked randomly out of the hat to become December’s winners of the competition.
They became eligible for the £200 following their application direct to the local newspaper, and as you can see, our Managing Director Mark Ashwell made a return trip to the church to hand over the cheque in person.
He said: “I had the absolute pleasure of a tour of the bell tower and the 300 year old bells.
“John Harrison and his bellringers do an incredible job in maintaining this wonderful piece of Wokingham Heritage.
“All Saints Bellringers were the first TradeMark sponsored Wokingham Times Community Cash tokens recipients in 2009 and now 5 years on are the latest recipient – RING OUT THOSE BELLS.”
They have been performing traditional English style bellringing for more than 300 years, a unique art form practised by around 50,000 ringers in nearly 6000 towers worldwide.
