Home Interior Design Trends To Look Out For In 2023

Home Interior Design Trends for 2023

We enter into each new year with new motivations and aspirations, and it could be that for 2023, you have made a self-imposed pledge to enhance your home.

Whether it’s the first time that you’ve looked to revitalise your space or you’re a dab hand at switching things up, it’s worth knowing this- “what are the design trends for 2023?”.

You don’t need to leave this page to find out as TradeMark Windows is about to give you a round-up of three of the biggest of them below.

Wild Wonder™ – Dulux Colour of the Year

If you’re looking for a new colour scheme, Wild Wonder™, a delicate green shade, has been unveiled by Dulux as their ‘2023 Colour of the Year’, a choice they say was “inspired by the natural world”.

Climate change has left so much of nature endangered and Dulux wanted to bring focus to this pressing issue with a colour that has a nature-like undertone. They also saw it as a way of making us feel more strongly bonded to the outdoors whilst indoors.

Such a warm, yet soft shade is absolutely perfect for any room, but it’s seen as especially great for bedrooms, kitchens and home offices.

Irregular rug shapes

A quick style fix for a conservatory design or other area of the house is a change of floor covering i.e. putting down a brand-new rug.

This year’s fashion won’t be for the usual rectangular, circular and square rugs though, more for your rugs in geometric, curved and angular shapes.

Quirkier rugs can’t fail to make a statement, wherever they’re installed, and guests will view them with the greatest envy.

Social spaces

So many things had to be put on pause during the pandemic – holidays, going to the gym, travelling to the office etc. and you can add having large social events at home to that list.

But those restrictions are completely gone now and there will be a full-scale return of social spaces as we try to catch-up on the precious time we missed being together with friends and family.

Host social gatherings in the kitchen if guests can converse around a kitchen island and breakfast bar, or a well-insulated conservatory, orangery or home extension could host them too.
